Did you know… There are around 7,000 assistance dog users in the UK, supporting people with visual impairments, people with physical disabilities, deaf and hard of hearing people and people with hidden disabilities.
Assistance dogs are not pets but highly trained animals that act as aids to disabled people, enabling them to function independently. Some people would find it extremely difficult to cope without them. They also give confidence, love and company to their owners. All such important attributes to life for everyone!
Here at Chichester Self Catering Assistance dogs are welcomed – their handlers and family too.
We have good accessibility facilities at Nature’s Elements, less so in the larger house, Living Elements (wheelchairs are difficult) but both properties have big gardens for the dogs to get some exercise in when they are not working and there are splendid walks locally and farther afield!
As part of our welcome pack for our doggy guests – they also get some dog chews, poop bags etc too! We can provide food and water bowls too, washing facilities and old towels to dry them with if necessary. So if access and a warm welcome – you need look no further!
