M&Sfoodhall

Chichester currently has two stores in the City centre – we are very lucky! But we now also have a further huge warehouse Foodhall out-of-town on the Portfield Estate.

The store in North Street does ladies clothing, lingerie and gifts mainly and has the returns counter. The East Street store supplies food, gentleman’s clothing, some gifts.

Gayle went to investigate the Food Hall further – as it has got easy and free parking, which really helps.

As one would expect the store is beautifully and generously laid out with a small cafe on the right as you go in. Fruit and veg and fresh flowers, of course! Cards and newspapers too. 1

There is a deli counter which does beautiful pies, fishcakes, lasagne and a great selection of fresh and unusual salads including for vegans, vegetarians and gluten-free shoppers.

There is a good selection of party and snack foods and sandwiches of course and a fresh bakery at the back of the store too. They have also really considered the ready food customers e.g the seniors in the area with plenty of singles and ready-prepared meals and vegetables etc. for those who don’t like to cook.2

A wide selection of wines, spirits and other drinks will keep everyone happy here.

Perhaps the best part though – are the many checkout tills, including four self service tills which are available.

So if you are coming down for a weekend stay and need to grab something quickly from one of your favourite shops – why not call in to the Food Hall on your way to one of the Chichester Self catering houses?
